"To describe the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and the first book in particular, one must blend the darkest, grittiest science fiction with the humour of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It mixes fun, whimsical absurdity, and serious, dark themes with dire consequences...it is so spectacularly good that I cannot recommend it highly enough."-- Grimdark Magazine
"Dinniman's Douglas-Adams-but-playing-D&D romp was so much fun that I immediately went out and got the next two books...genuinely joyful."

Matt Dinniman
Matt Dinniman is a bestselling author known for fast-paced science fiction, fantasy, and LitRPG that combines outrageous humor, high-stakes action, imaginative world-building, and surprisingly emotional storytelling. His work often takes familiar gaming mechanics—levels, quests, achievements, and increasingly impossible challenges—and turns them into unpredictable adventures where survival is never guaranteed.
Dinniman is best known for the *Dungeon Crawler Carl* series, which follows Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s prize-winning Persian cat, Princess Donut, after Earth is transformed into a deadly, entertainment-driven dungeon crawl watched by an enormous intergalactic audience. The series has developed a devoted following for its blend of absurd comedy, brutal consequences, memorable characters, and satire.
For readers who want their fantasy chaotic, funny, violent, and nearly impossible to put down, Dinniman offers an unconventional reading experience. Beneath the monsters, loot, and ridiculous situations are stories about friendship, loyalty, exploitation, resilience, and what people are willing to become when surviving the next level is the only option.
